"I have only been at XXXX a little over a year, but you [Eric] have been the one constant for me. You were the person who came to my class and observed my teaching (twice)!! It was great. I appreciated the feedback and the general support you provided. You made me comfortable on campus and was always available to answer my questions or address a concern." *************************************************** "I saw you [Eric] do ... so many wonderful things here....You were tough, direct, and fair, and you genuinely cared and tried to fix things. I wish more were like you."*************************************************** "Thanks for the feedback and I am really grateful for [Eric's] candid input. As an individual, I always and will continue to find ways to better myself in whatever I do. This feedback is a great opportunity and I will therefore try very hard to improve or address the weakness mentioned in your email. As you know, I have only been doing this at XXXX for just a little over seven months. In addition to [Eric's] feedback, I have carefully read all the end of course Student Evaluation reports, which have so far been very good, for clues or areas in need of improvement. ....I have realized that though most students may have covered certain topics in previous classes, unfortunately, the expected foundation sometimes may be or appears to be weak among some students. For this reason, I usually try to step back at the beginning of a class session. I start by going over some of the basics before gradually introducing a newer topic or information. So far, the performance of my students on their quizzes, and exams have shown the approach appears to be working. I will however, try to break the habit of "over" lecturing as mentioned."

"The One-on-One role play was an excellent exercise [that] greatly contributed to my learning....While I felt the role play went well, the feedback presented by the class members and [Eric] identified several areas where I can improve in the future. I will continue to reflect on this feedback and attempt to incorporate many of the suggestions in my future efforts."

"As a part time faculty member of the university, [you] are fortunate to have Dean McGeehan as [your] campus dean. His administrative talents are impeccable, his people skills are a 'must' for a campus dean, and his standards are high as they should be....I know the value of a college administrator who not only says he has 'an open door' policy, but one who practices it....He understands the mission of the university, while providing his warm, caring, and personal touch. His administrative expertise is appreciated by the full time and part time faculty members."

"It is very obvious that Eric is an experienced instructor and an expert in his field. When he told me he studied at Teachers College at Columbia University with Brookfield and Mezirow, I was not really surprised. Eric has mastered Brookfield’s discussion model for higher education teaching. Even I was drawn into the conversation. It was irresistible. . . . My only recommendation is that Eric become a ... mentor next year. I believe his understanding of how students learn and how to use discussion for learning would be an asset to our mentoring program for part time faculty. It was an honor and a privilege to observe his class and for XXXX to have him in our classrooms."

"[Dennis's] no nonsense, forthright, direct professionalism and work ethic coupled with his tremendous sense of humor make him a pleasure to work with. His ability to not hesitate to speak his mind but at the same time attentively listen to others' opinions is an admirable attribute missing from many in higher education leadership today."
